need help with 140hp no spark 1977 johnson

wow, ran one day then naext day no firing off. I have gas and plenty of crank power, no spark on plugs, which i have replaced also. can anyone help on what part to look for , and what to change thanks, So frustrated forgot to put year, It is 1977 johnson 140hp ,

Do you have a kill switch lanyard and is it connected correctly?

Same thing happened to my 77 Johnson and it was the power pack that needed replaced.

Disconnect the black/yellow wire from the power pack and see what hapens.

If you don't have a factory service manual, check out this website for some excellent ignition troubleshooting info: cdielectronics.com. You've got three expensive ignition components which could be faulty: power pack, stator, timer base. A little troubleshooting is worth your time and $. Try boobie's suggestion first, then go from there.
