need help, very new to boating :)

hey guys, i need some help.

1) i dont know how to identify the o motor, like i cant find the serial number/model number, but it says Suzuki on it.

2) i need help on the trim, i cant get the wires right for it to go up or down.
if i use a direct connection, car battery with jumper cables to the wires for the trim, they go up and down, need help on wiring.

Welcome to iboats!!

Take the cowl off and find the engine ID plate. Any Suzuki dealer will be able to help, or look it up here:

OK, so you can easily identify which is the trim up and which is the trim down connector. If your existing wiring isn't working from the trim button, I suggest a rewire from the engine-mounted trim connectors to the button.

This is general advice, I'm not a Suzuki expert, so anyone who is more familiar/has more expertise, please feel free to make further more detailed suggestions!
