OK took and fired the boat up (been sitting a whole season), it took a bit to get it started. Brought it to the lake, Throttled up and seemed to get up on plane fairly quick (Its got the Magnum II V-150 Mariner sitting on a Bayliner Capri Bow Rider, Was told that this boat nearly reaches 80mph) and I reached about 52 or so ... As the evening went on, the speed, Throttle Response, and everything went down hill.. It has a hard time getting up on plane now, forget about pulling anything (i.e. tuber, skiier etc..)
This is what I have done so far ...
Changed the Plugs there were buhxw-1 's in it ... The Lady at the marina only has BUHW's in stock, I put them in and it seemed to get a little worse, (I am going today to get the Right plugs for it (calling for BU8H in the chart).
I can smell a very potent odor of gas while its running (there are no leaks)
While throttling up, I have had someone pumping the primer bulb (no Help). At WOT I push in the Choke (and the Trottle goes up (forget the Rpm that it changes))
So I am thinking clogged Carb/s or maybe a weak fuel Pump.
I took apart the carbs and they are soaking in parts cleaner, I am going up later today to blow them out.
Just figured I would try to get some input.
