Need help selecting new prop - 89 Wellcraft 210 Classic

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some suggestions on replacing the prop for my 1989 Wellcraft 210 classic.
-Engine is a 5.0 Mercruiser, 2BBL carb, 200 HP.
-Current prop is a Stainless Michigan Wheel 13 3/4 x 21p
-The boat does have trim tabs installed
When I am alone in the boat or with 2 people its mostly fine, and gets up on plane easy. It only hits around 4100 to 4200 at WOT, specs for the engine is 4200-4600. Top speed around 41 mph
If I have 5 people in the boat, It struggles badly to get on plane.
I was thinking either a 14x19 or 14x17 Aluminum 4 bladed... but i think the 17 might be too low.

Going to a 19p 3 blade should get you a better hole shot with more people on board and still get you about the same wot speed with 2 people, just at a higher wot rpm.

As a test, go for a wot run loaded with 5 souls on board on flat calm water cond and report the max rpm achieved to know how much wot rpm the motor lost against the reported revs achieved while boating with 2 up.

If you prop right that motor to rev to its max 4600 rpm range to plane faster with 5 souls on board, when with 2 up the motor will overrev, so throttle less while watching the tach....

Firstly. What a lovely boat these are. Always been a big fan. Classic looks and an amazing hull. Those days, wellcrafts made a proper hull.
About the prop. Going by your number and before you even mentioned them..my incline was to throw on a good 19” 3 blade and all will be well. The lovely one in my yard has the 5.0 merc engine too and a 19” black max. He tried a 19” vengeance on it and it was better with the black max ally. A laser 2 19” would be a great match too, I suspect.

This could be a good choice as variable adjustable pitch...lets you dial in your load.

Sea Rider, I've had six people aboard once during last season, getting the boat on plane was almost impossible, being a cuddy cabin and everyone towards the stern doesnt help either haha. Once it was up on plane it was okay, but it was hard to keep her on plane. I normally cruise around 20 mph - 22mph and it was hard to keep her trimmed to cruise nicely. I dont care about top speed honestly, I just want good lift to get out of the hole, and good midrange cruise.

QBhoy - Thank you! I do love the boat, we are do a complete interior restoration this winter, new floor is in, all new seating and all the trim is getting reupholstered as we speak. And yea.. I was looking at the black max, that will probably be the way I end up going, I wanted to try a 4 bladed but i may just stick with the more popular three. Plus once its in the water for the season I really dont want to have to pull her back out haha.

Faztbullet - That prop looks sweet!! Do you have any experience with that prop or heard anything?

You mention trying a 4 blade, that really depends on how you use your boat. I have run several 4 blades on my last two boats Because my primary use is loaded (people) water sports-skiing, boarding, tubing. In terms of holeshot, stern lift, and lower planing speed I saw nice improvements.
if you’re considering a black max and want to try a 4 blade in Michigan wheel vortex for blade 18 inch pitch would probably work if the reasons I mentioned above fit your boating style

17p 4 bld aluminum would more that probably live up to your needs,..21 nets 4200 no load, 19 should bring you to 4600. You seem to enjoy people that is good...but they can be a real drag on your hull...and the 5.0 is not a torque monster.. Overheating a engine on a hot summer day with a boat load is flattening if i remember correctly.
