Be patient. Pics are coming. :p

What is the best way to remove a horrible paint job on a tin boat? Looks like they used house paint and a brush. Chemical stripper? What brand/kind? Sander? I have a 7" buffer/sander that I am thinking of using. What is the progression of grit that I need to use? Thinking I may end up having to use both, as I was able to power-wash some of it off, but there is still a lot left.

Any hardware store should have the stuff, I buy klean strip from Lowes.

I found it worked best with a short firm bristles brush head on a pole, I cannot find the exact one, but make sure it has natural fibers (not plastic) or it will melt into a blob.

The head cost me about $4 + $25 for the stripper and I used an old roller pole I had laying around.

Don't use the coarser one.

Kleen Strip works well and Citristrip does pretty good. Keep them moist.

I also used a BRASS wire cup wheel. This was super around the rivets. The next boat I do will be soda blasted!
