I need help removing the powerhead from my 1997 outboard force 120. i have taken the lower unit, all wiring, the carbs, the intake manifolds, the head, and the flywheel and stators off. i have taken the four mount bolts off, as well as the eight bolts holding the powerhead to the driveshaft housing, and it will not budge. the only bolts left that i think may be holding it on, are two allen bolts up under the lower cowling, but to far up and behind the steering arm mount to get to, does anyone know how i get to these bolts if they are in fact the only bolts holding the powerhead on. do i have to remove the steering arm mount from the lower cowling, and if so, how do i do that, i have the seloc manuel for the motor, but it is vague when it comes to removing the powerhead, and help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Another weekend lost to motor problems

Also, if someone could point me in a good direction of where to buy internal engine parts, such as pistons, piston rings, and bearing that go on the connecting rod at the crankshaft end. I have priced them on mercury parts express, but they seem to be quite expensive compared to some other sites ive found.

Thanks again
