Hi, new member here.....
I'm reassemblying the lower unit of my Nissan NS8B and can't seem to make everything fit.
Question: On which side of the "clutch spring pin" (Ref 10-14 in the parts catalog) does the "clutch spring holder" (Ref 10-17) go. On the side nearest to the prop, or on the other side? Wear marks on the clutch spring holder and the clutch push rod (Ref 10-16) seem to indicate that the clutch spring holder and the clutch push rod are in direct contact -- but when I assemble the parts in this order there it doesn't seem to work right (I can't get reverse gear to engage).
Need a guru!!!!
