I have a 22' toon with a 1998 70 hp 4-stroke Johnson. I hit a stump last weekend and broke a blade on the propeller. I cannot find any ID marks, or Numbers on the prop. I do know it is 13" to 13.25" dia. Do not know the pitch.Has Thru hub exhaust, 13 or 14 spline( i have to count again). This is on a toon that weights about 3500 lbs when loaded.
I need advice on what would be a good pitch to start with. I do not know what my wot was before hitting stump, Tach was already broke and I have not replaced yet, but I will.
What is recomended WOT for this motor?
I need a starting point.
Thanks
Michael
JB, if this is wrong topic please move.

You can bet that a 13" pitch will get you real close. That's what I run on my toon with a 70 HP Evinrude, albeit a 2-stroke...
