It is a 1971 model. Mixture is 50/1..... 1 pint of TCW-III 50/1 oil to 6 gallons of gasoline. A octane rating of 87 will be fine.

Except that you may not be mixing 6 gallons at a time.

For smaller quantities its 2.56 ozs per US gallon

If you are in a country that uses litres instead of gallons then it is 20cm? per litre

Re: need help on gas/oil mix

Sorry.
cm? is centimetre cubed the correct way of saying cubic centimetre or cc.

same as millilitres (ml)

ccs and mls are both used to express volume

In a way cm? is more correct because the SI unit of volume is a cubic metre, but its not a very practical unit for every day use, and cubic decimetres and cubic centimetres are the sudivisions.

Nobody uses cubic decimetres for every day things (who even knows what it is ?) but the litre, which is the same size, remains in common usage hence also millilitres.

Re: need help on gas/oil mix

Thanks for clarifying. Here in Ontario we juggle back and forth between Imperial and Standard measurements....IE height usually goes in feet, weight in lbs, unless you're at the doctors and they measure in cm and kg. Being a border town I see why it happens, i'm about 5mins from the US. However, fuel always goes in litres and oil in ml. Beer flows in baby bottles here....341ml per bottle. Still hard to believe after visiting Czech Republic 5 times. (I assume bottles are the same in the UK...500ml)

Yes we still use Imperial measuremnts as well as metric, fortunately we dont as rule use US measurements.

The legal unit of weight for food has been kg for some time but I believe some concessions on the continued use of lbs may have crept back in.

Liquids vary. Petrol (gas) pumps are all litres. Draught beer is sold in pints but bottles and cans vary in size but are expressed in ml or cc. Milk is sold in pint bottles where bottles are still used but cartons are sometimes litres and sometimes pints.

Almost all fastenings are now metric threads, the old Whitworth and BSF have all but disappeared. Although we still have to contend with the American threads on American made stuff.

Miles remain in common use for distances although most other linear measurements are metric. Speed limits on roads are given in mph.
Daftest one is sizes for wood etc. We still get some wood machined to the old Imperial dimensions but expressed in mm!

They stopped teaching the Imperial measurements in Schools ages ago although I think a knowledge of them may have now crept back into the curriculum.

1 part oil to 50 parts gasoline is 500ml oil to 25 litres of gas

Gives you 25.5 litres which is 5.6 Imperial (UK) gallons or 6.7 US gallons
