Hello, every one.<br /><br />I have a 1991 40h force Johnson. After a few run, for the first few minutes it ran fine. For the certain the motor start to run rougher. I look in the back where the lower drive and propeller at, the water seem to stir up like crazy. I took the boat in and take a look. I pull the pin out where the propeller at, next is the brass nut; and it was loose. I can un screw it with my fingers, was it suppose to be like that? Well I took the rest of the parts out include the propeller and notice that the seal was torn and wear. Also the propeller was worn out around the round wall. What do you think could happen there ? Is it because the nut was loose or was it the lower gear is damage. I check the lower gear oil, and it is clear, not milky. I just had a tune up for the motor last year. Please, help. I am so frustrated, I brought it back to the same guy and he said it could cost around $1000.0 to $1500.00.<br /><br />Thank you in advance for your info.<br /><br />Mattt
