Need help in identifying vintage MFG 13 foot outboard

HELP PLEASE! I cannot find the year of this 13 foot MFG fiberglass boat. The metal tag underneath the back wall of the stern is stamped "Carefree 13", so I am assuming it is a Carefree model. The last year it was registered was back in 1968. It has been stored in the back of a relatives barn ever since--and recently passed on to me. The old Evinrude motor (which runs great) seems to be original to the boat (which has held up pretty good with the exception of the windshield). I know absolutely nothing about boats (I'm a Vintage Harley Girl!) and don't intend on keeping it. I would really welcome any information on what year it was made and the best avenue(s) in finding it an appreciated and new home. I have attached photos which hopefully will help. Get a MUCH better photo of that little Tag. I think it was the Mfg, Serial number and size.

Late 60's or early 70's is my guess ... No HIN stamped into the hull most likely. Paw around HERE and see if you can match it up.

That motor is about a 1964. Google Fiberglassics.com and look up the MFG brochures.

That "Carefree" tag sure doesn't look like anything a manufacturer made. See if you can some other identification on the hull.

Your beautiful boat certainly appears to be a MFG Carefree model they built from 1967 until 1980 with very few visible changes from year to year. They called it a 14 foot model but listed the length as 13ft-6in. I believe a HIN was USCG-required on the starboard outside transom beginning with 1972 models. Prior to that, each manufacturer did their own thing and my boats from that era had data plates that varied from just a serial number to one with date of manufacture, model name, maximum persons, maximum horsepower and serial number. Your best bet is to contact the state office that handles boat registrations and see if they can research the last assigned numbers for the boat. If successful, their files should have all the particulars required for registration back in the day. Good luck!

Welcome, nice looking vintage boat. Never seen a Boat Tag, like that. Any other members seen one? I think your best bet is look up the reg numbers, with the state. If shes solid, you shouldnt have a problem selling her. Not a big money maker but, someone will snap it up. Maybe $500, or more depending on trailer, and motor conditon. Keep it covered, and tilted up, so she drians, and doesnt hold water. Im an old biker myself, but have a 2003 HD FatBoy.

I have a 67 carefree.... the tag is inside port side near the top of the transom
