Need help identifying this motor

Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I cant seem to find information on identifying a motor I just bought. Please see the pictures and help if you can or direct me to the correct forum. The only plate I could find on the motor just states DT50 with no other information.

My thoughts are it is a 1982 model DT50
even thou the 5001 does not match the 5002 on the web site I looked at,
but the first 2 in the serial # represents an 1982

Thanks for the help. How interchangeable are the parts throughout the years? Im mainly looking for a fuel pump/rebuild kit, carburetors/rebuild kit, fuel filter, etc. Also what is this component in the picture?

If it is activated when the shifter moves it should tell when motor is in gear or neutral
