Ok folks, I am new to outboards. Always been a Mercruiser man. So, I have a 1989 Johnson V4 110 with an OMC throttle control.
On the throttle control right below the ignition switch, is a turn knob. I have NO idea what it does :D??
Can anybody help me out on this one?
Thanks and have a safe boating weekend!

I just noticed while looking at an online parts breakdown, it's labeled as a "friction adjustment knob." Is this for loosening or tightening the throttle lever itself? Still a little in the dark. Somebody enlighten me here. Thanks!!

Yes it is for adjusting the amount of effort to move the throttle lever.
