Trying to solve a flooding issue, I ordered new carb floats for a 1976 merc 1750. The arrived in the mail today and they are the wrong ones for my carbs.

Mercarb 1374-5427 is what I have.

Looking at the shop manual that I have, there are two different types of floats these engines can have. A round float or more of a square float. I received the square float.

I cant seem to find the round floats anywhere. I was hoping someone would know where to find them.

I've done a full rebuild on this motor and this is the last thing keeping it off the water. Quite frustrating.

Thanks

Welcome! I have a source that I use sometimes. I am not sure of your serial number (which would help me), *********

It is normal that your link got blocked, as iboats also has a store, the normally block links to other competitors websites. Do a google search based on your numbers and you should be able to find something.

Yeah, i kind of figured that would happen. If I start seeing lights and sirens coming down the street, I'm outta here!

doubt you will find 'em for those.. any of tha MercCarb round bowl float will work.. if ya happen ta run across "used" they are probably fuel soaked or will be as soon as ya install 'em 'cause of what they are made of.. tha wh design changed in '79 or '80 best I remember.. went to a more "square" bowl and float.. ya may end up goin' with another set (later) of wh's....
