I am restoring an early 1980's Cajun bass boat. The boat has a livewell at the bow and a livewell at the stern. When I got the project, it was only half way plumbed up so I don't know exactly how it was set up now how it SHOULD be set up. I have included a drawing with some explanation. There were no standpipes in the boxes. What I am most confused about is the two brown lines and the black circle at the transom. I have a hunch that the brown lines are for the "overfill" and would have drained to the bilge, but the fittings are positioned in such a location that the boxes would only reach 50% fill and had no hose connected to them. The only thing I know for certain is the blue "fill" section and the pink "bilge" section.
Now, since I am fully restoring this boat, I am free to set this up any way I want. I don't need (or necessarily want) to do what they were originally doing. I know I am going to replace the blue line with actual marine components (including spray bars). I think I want to use a proper standpipe for the overflow/drain line (but I'm not entirely sure where the Aft box would drain to). I don't care about having a recirculation/aeration system but I'm not totally opposed to them either.
Any ideas or suggestions?
