Need help buying new hub

I am trying to buy a new hub for my trailer and I'm not sure what size to buy. I replaced the hub a few months ago and didn't know what I was doing and bought the wrong size. After running hot a few months and then starting to wobble, I'm replacing it again. I've long since gotten rid of the original hub, so without pulling the hub off the other spindle, can anyone look at this spindle and give me a good guess as to the size. It's a 5 post hub and I measured the outside of the spindle and it's 1" and the inside of the spindle is 1 5/16 ". Does that translate to a 1 1/6 X 1 3/8" hub? Also, does this spindle look like it's in good shape?

I think the inner shaft is 1 3/8, not 1 5/16. How are you measuring it? Also, make sure you measure the inside diameter of the seal mounting areas in the hub. I bought a used trailer this year that had a different inside diameter in the inner hub than is standard. I found this out when I couldn't press the new bearing race into place. I finally replaced the hubs so that I'd have the standard race if I ever get caught in the boonies and need a bearing.

As far as the axle goes, the bearing mount areas look OK, there is no discoloration indicating excessive heat, but the seal area on the inside looks a little splotchy and looks to have a groove worn in it. Can't tell from the picture if it's OK or not. If it is bad, there is a kit you can buy to mount a different grease seal. Here's the seal on iBoats-

Okay, so I've got the hub - 1 1/16 x 1 3/8, 5 x 4.5 - and as I'm putting it on I notice there's no washer under the hub nut. Would this cause a big problem? How important is it?

Be forewarned that these repair kits only work on axles with bearing buddies. They will not work with any of the "spindle lube" type axles.
