Nearly everyone who regularily trolls for large trout on my lake, catches them using a"christmas tree".

These rigs are basically 4 or 5 shell shaped flashers, the usual beads and swivels, with a small spinner attached. The whole rig is about 36" long.

These rigs don't look like rocket science to build, but are hard to find, and some are priced from $8-11, which hurts when you lose one.

Anyone know of a web store that carries these, or even better, one that sells bulk lure components, to build your own?

Any help is papreciated.

martyscher, we used these exclusively in the high sierra lakes for rainbows and browns. We didn't use a spinner, but a worm at the end...killer rig. My poor dad went through a few bucks replacing all the one's we'd loose. Anyway, you may want to try Cabela's. Both the catalog and the stores devote quite a bit of space to lure components...sorry couldn't be much help...but definitely get a few of these in your tackle box. Good luck!
