Im pretty dumb when it comes to boats so this is probably a simple question to answer. Theres a valve on the motor that I have had to turn to get the motor started and was curious to know what it is. You can see it in the photo its red. Can somebody please explain what it is and if I need to leave it in the position like it is in the photo I got online. The picture im posting is not a pic of my motor. Its the same.exact motor though. When you unscrew the cap it looks like a valve stem to a tire. Please excuse my ignorance!! Also my boat tends to die when im idling but when I give it a little gas its fine. Thanks!
