need help 1982 50 hp mariner

this engine ran first ,but you had to keep pushing in the elec. choke

to keep it running so i overhauled carburators , new plugs , new fuel lines , it

still starts upruns about 2 sec , then stops , no matter if you push the choke

or not ? any one knows what i should check next ?
