I suppose you know that iboats sells Seloc manuals and www.outboardbooks.com sells factory service manuals. Now, about the problem at hand. It can't be all that complicated. That motor has simple automotive type ignition.

Please explain what "low spark in points" means.

If you have weak or no spark at the plug wires, you first need to isolate the problem. Pull the HT wire out of the coil, then remove it from the distributor cap (it unscrews). Then stick it back into the coil. Now hold the threaded end 1/4" away from a grounded object and crank the motor. Does spark jump the gap? If not, the trouble lies ahead of that point. But if the spark there is ok, the trouble lies in the distributor rotor, cap or plug wires. At least now you know what area to look at.

Well, ok. If you have lots of car know-how, then this motor should be no mystery to you, and what I said should be familiar to you.

Still don't know what points spark is supposed to mean. Points aren't supposed to spark. Well, barely if any, that is. Sparkiing is what burns them.

Charles, Frank is very nice if he has made 16,000 posts over 6 years helping people with their motors. :)
The points are set at 0.020", but may be happier at 0.018" You'd have to experiment with your particular motor. The points on this have to be very very clean, even if they are new. Brake cleaner works to get the oil off of them.
The plugs should be Champion J4 or J6 series plugs.
Does the spark jump at least a 1/4" gap at the spark plug end (for each spark plug)? If it does, then spark is not your problem, unless it is dropping out when the coil heats up.
Make sure you have a good, fully charged battery for this and all of the cable are good and clean.
