Hello world,
I am looking for Dyno results from a stock 89 ish 200 Black Max. I am not looking for a theoritical performance chart, but a chart from a real dyno test. I do not care if it was from the crank or the transmission, lower unit.

I am also looking for real data from a prop. The data the companies hide like slip, required tork at different rpms, ect.

The problem is not all 89ish 200's made the same hp. Manufactures and BIA standards give a 10% leeway from base hp, so yours could be putting out 220hp or 180hp. This is due to mass production as castings are not true, sleeves inserted turned, flashing restricting ports,etc.etc. I would bet to say that if you doing some type of calculations 197hp would be a close estimate. To get a torque figure just multiply know HP time 5252 and divided by RPM. For example a motor makes 150HP @ 4000 rpm......(150 x 5252)/4000=197ftlbs torque

Hey thanks for reply,

I acually have a 87 black max. I understand the 10 percent differences with the model tears but I did not know how hard it is to get any real data. I was going to interpolate the results to match my engine if I didnt get the dyno from my engine.

Your formula would kinda work but it is not true for two smokes. I would still use it but I have no top end rpm of my engine results. What I have is the tach reading with the boat in water and with prop. Im not going to back calculate the rpms from pitch of prop and sutch. This data is inaccurate and had major flaws. Im
On the path to publish.

So I still need to start by getting dyno results from my engine lol.
