Hello all! I am a new member here and look forward to contributing if I can. I have much marine experience but am stumped by this problem. I will use terms I am familiar with from the west coast but will clarify if needed. I have a Four Winns 180 that needs a piece of bimini hardware. It is plastic and is an "eye end" on one end, with the usual small set screw to secure it to the 7/8 tubing, yet it is a "jaw slide" on the other end with a larger thumb screw securing IT to the 3/4 tubing that that it can then slide up and down on. This appears to be a Four Winns design, facrory type top with 3 bows, and the center bow is vertical with the fore and aft bow telescoping.
I can have pics if the response warrants it.
Thanks all!

Welcome to iboats. That is a standard piece of bimini hardware not specific to Four Winns. It can be found in any good marine store or dealer in plastic, white metal, or stainless. You should also be able to find it in the iboats store. Look in boat parts and accessories.

Not a Four Winns designed top or hardware on the H180. As said above, parts can be found in many locations.

It sounds like there are two different pieces to your item. If you post a pic I'll see if I can assist

Hope these pics come thru. As mentioned, I have never seen this before and I have built biminis from this sized one (6' x 5.5') to quite large (12' x 10') and using tubing ranging from 3/4" aluminum to 1" stainless, and appropriate fittings (i.e., plastic, chrome-nickel plated, stainless) but have yet to come across one of these!
Additionally, when I "google" Four Winns bimini in "images", I get literally 100's of pics of standard bimini tops yet have only seen 1 pic with this particular top installed (which tells me it is not a popular design.
And, I am sad to say, can't find that one pic again!

It's called a jaw slide or tube clamp I believe.
Most come with a screw for fastening. You can add a thumbscrew instead.

Beacon Fabric & Notions

These will do the same thing. $1.44 each

Did quite a bit of looking and came up empty. As you mentioned they probably stopped making them do to my guess try didn't last or work very well. Even tried to find something that would match up to what Slip Away found (post 6) that something else could be attached to it, but came up empty. Did find one in black, and I guess if all else fails could the cap screw be replaced with one that is a bit longer so you can attach it, maybe.

Re: need bimini top hardware

We just always call those "tent pole fittings". Use them mostly on telescoping support poles for covers. It isn't a jaw slide nor is it an eye end.

Seems to me awhile back my distributor stopped carrying them, so they may in fact have been discontinued.

Here's what I've been using instead: Available in the awning window section of your local hardware or home improvement store. NOTE: They are labeled 3/4" cuz evidently awning tubing is measured ID. But they fit 7/8 OD marine tubing.

To install all's ya need to do is drill a 1/4" hole at the end of your 7/8" tube for the set screw to pass through to anchor against the 3/4 tube. Et voila! Problem solved.

Btw they are sold in handy 3 packs ...?!

Re: need bimini top hardware

Thanks for the great link! Found some needed stuff but not THAT (whatever it is)! There have already been 2 jaw slides modified to accommodate the design and I suppose that is how it will remain. I appreciate the time given.
As a note (and if memory serves) related to the post by V153 above....I believe "tubing" is measured OD whilst "hose" and "pipe" is measured ID. This is sometimes serendipitous; mostly just confusing!!
