Re: need advice purchasing trailer
Welcome to the forum.<br />I'm assuming your friends wife wants a brand new trailer for her husband, well, my advice would be to find the yellow pages and start calling some local trailer companies in your area and get some quotes. By telling them what you need, they will find the best for you. I recommend a dual axle aluminum trailer with brakes. You can upgrade the brakes to all stainless hardware which will save from dealing with rusty nuts and bolts later on down the road. Those Grady's are slightly heavy so you might want to check on upgrading to a torsion axle instead of springs, they last a lot longer. I take care of a number of boats and trailers and all our big boats(25'+) sit on dual axle aluminum trailers w/stainless brakes and torsion axles. As long as you spray white lithium grease on all metal parts and rinse the trailer down after every outing, you are good to go. I hope this helps.
