I have a 1975 15.5ft trihaul 3 keel bowrider and I am going to purchase a 2010 Tohatsu MD75. The engine is in another province so I need to give best guess for a prop pitch. I had a 1990 Yamaha 85HP on it before and it had a 17 pitch. Anyone out there with a similar boat and configuration I would appreciate any input you have. Reason for getting it out of province is it's such a great deal I can't pass it up.

Re: Need advice for a prop.

What was the wot rpm and speed with the old motor? What is the weight of the boat?
The Yammy had a 2.00:1 gear ratio and 10 more hp. The Tohatsu has a 2.33:1 Easier to turn the prop.
I think the same size prop is a good place to start.
The dealer may have an idea where to start as well.
