Hello,

I cruise in ~3000 foot water frequently and am very curious to see what’s below me. My current set up barely goes to 700. I have no idea where to start with what I would even need. Any suggestions or knowledge would be appreciated!!!!

Thanks!

At that point your into 2-3 kW units.

Bear in mind that "usable depth" is roughly half rated depth

Makes sense. Is there any way to get better visualization?
3,000 feet is over a 1/2 mile deep......

Your up against physics
The Display is 800 x 600... at 3,000 ft deep.......1 Display pixel = 5' of water

Today's recreational side scan units are running 800 to 1,200 kHz

To get to 3,000 ft. your looking at frequencies down in the 15 to 22 kHz range

Would need a Towable array to get anywhere near your expecations
