Does any have a mariner mag 2 150hp outboard that can get me a part # for a prop? I've tried 2 props now and neither one will fit inside the lower unit. The mercury prop calc only goes back to 2001. And I'm don't wanna chance one of the 200 props the iboats calculator gives because I'm already out $50 in return shipping. Looking for a 3 blade aluminum 21p prop to star with before I buy a stainless. The inside diameter of my lower unit is rough 4" the last 2 props had a 4 3/8 outside diameter which would not let it slip inside me lower unit. Thanks -Ryan

OK, it sounds like you have a gearcase the same hub size as an inline motor (4-1/4" hub). Pick a prop from any of the inline six 115HP motors, and that should fit. The later V6 motors used a larger hubbed gearcase.

BTW - if the prop selector only goes back to 2001, use another prop selector.

I've used a few prop selectors, that yield 200+ results. I've already tried 2 of the recomended props, i was hoping someone with my motor could shed some light as to what prop they are running. Out of 6 marine centers, mercury, and michigan wheel, no one can give me a definitive "yes" it will fit. Apparently I'll just have to take it to a marina and pull a few off the shelf until I find one that fits. I would have never guessed finding a prop would be such a pain.

What type of boat? How many people? How much "stuff" you carry? Do you ski or tube?

1989 18ft cajun bass boat. 2maybe 3 people. 500 lbs +/- guys/gear. No skiing, it's a bass boat. I want to start around 21p and will go up or down from there. I just want a difinitive yes it will fit. I'm tired of wasting time and money ordering and returning props.
