Need a power steering pump

Any sources for used mercruiser parts? I need a power steering pump for a 2002 4.3 merc. Normally I don't mind spending the money on new parts, but the cheapest I've been able to find online is around $330.00.<br /><br />Rick

Check ebay. I've gotten very good parts there. I usually do a search on ebay using the part number.

Yep, been watching ebay, but on a part like that I think I'm going to have to be real lucky. I was hoping there were some businesses that specialized in used parts.

I think those power steering pumps may be standard GM. Take it to an auto parts store and see if they can match it.

That pump is standard for GM trucks, however the housing is special and will need to be reused. Remove all the fittings and the only thing holding the pump to the housing is an O-ring. Disassemble the pump from the housing and take the pump to NAPA. I replaced mine for under $60.<br /><br />Mark
