Need a great recipe for cake/pie for 4-h

Its my lil girls first year in 4-h and her show is in 2 weeks, and she has a pretty good goat!
She wants to enter the cooking contest with a pie or a cake, I need a super recipie for one if anybody has one.

I got a coconut cake recipe that everyone raves over, and simple. If u want it I will post in about half hr ????????

My wife did a cake for our kids Eastern party many years a go. It was a Bunny rabbit made out of just regular cake, cut and shaped into a fun rabbit . I thought it was going to be a flop but turned out to be one of the best cakes there and sold well before the sale began. Look on line and you will find many instructions for cakes like this. Wish her luck.
