Obsolete. Nothing. Can't locate anything.

Any ideas?

Early to mid 70's Merc 85hp outboard.

Will and 800 fit an 850?

that s/n comes up as:

85 850 4-cyl 4092965 4366801 1975 USA

If you read the advert, you will see that it is the same p/n.

There is a used one listed on Ebay for a 800, same part number, 3726A as the 850. They like it at the price. $90. One day left "Buy it now"

If you want a new one you better go to the bank for a loan as they are not cheap, IF you can find one. Like Gerry said, Crowlley Marine or maybe Sea way Marine might have a new cap that will work. Otherwise start shopping the salave yards that are listed in the STICKY on here.

California is banning 2strokes from the State Lakes. We are hearing of a program that will buy the old 2strokes. Kinda a Cash for Clunker program. Maybe I can get a new 4stroke compliments of my grandkids grandkids who will have to ultimately pay the price.

So far I've located 3. All used. Am going to try one more place then order me a used one.
