Need a 1977 mercury 175 v6 expert

I have a 1977 175 v6 mercury it will not put water out the tell tail at ideal period no water at all I have replaced the poppet complete kit replased the t-stats replaced the water pump complete kit siluconed around the water inlet pipe and it will not pee at an ideal if I cranck it up to about 2000 rpm it will pee any idea what it is if I put water in the tell tail it comes out of prop pls cone some one help

If my motor( '96 200hp) was closer to yours maybe I could help but I think they are too far apart. Don't believe you are being ignored - just the right person hasn't read your post yet. <br /><br />

I got a 1978 175hp its the same way. I know no help but atlease it will bump it up

Get a guitar string of the size you feel good with and go up the tellutale. Feel for obstructions. You shouldnt be able to far in as I think there is a bend. It wont hurt anything. You havent run the motor long? Do you shut it down cause of no water? Ive seen a motor or 2 take a few seconds but not 10 of them for water to tell tale. Cowl off no water leaks? Foot Leaking excessively. If its on the muffs....Dont. The pressure is insufficient Get a large trash can for your motor. If I do outboard work at home , I want the foot submerged for the load on the motor value. Stay posted till its fixed.<br />Capt. I hate compression tests

I have run this motor for two years like this I was told it was normal just resently found out its not normal I can blow down the pee hole with air and here it in the exhaust tube

also Took off l/u and used water hose to put water in block and it come out exhoust tube but not pee hole

the nature off the V6 is to concentrate on the cooling rather than the tell tale....... its designed that way.<br /><br />Start motor and after say ten seconds the tell tale should be flowing. if it appears to be unblocked as suggested, try sucking on it, if you get a mouth full of warm water and then it stops again. its simply trapped air within the thermohousing.<br />if you can suck water you are ok... if you cant.<br />stop motor and do some thinking

I get pee at 2000 rpm but not ideal it never get over 130 degrese it just dose not pee at ideal any help

2 years of not blowing up is good. If its working, dont fix it!!!!!!!!!Catch a fish.
