what started out as a need to rebuild my carb turned out to be more because I was stupid....
I called the local outboard repair shop about my 6 HP Tahatsu running lean requiring the choke to operate. I had taken it apart and cleand with carb cleaner paying xtra attention to several tiny holes near left side of the butterfly valve. After calling the local repair shop a mechanic suggested "removing the factory air screw cap" and try adjusting the screw. I drilled a cap which had a blue maker line accross it. Not only did I drill out the cap I also drilled straight thru the side of the thoat of the carb destroying the carb. So now I am in need of a new carb.
The shop had said these carbs run aprox 120.00 is that true and if so where can I find one.
I should have known better then to try this.
