I am just curious if anyone has learned by experience, what tools, you should carry with you on the water for emergency repairs. I have a '97 4.3L Mercruiser engine. Anyone want to help me compile a list. I am sure there are things that we have not thought of, that could come in handy.

I like to just role my craftsman tool box out to the dock and dump all the tools into the tube, it has trouble staying afloat though! :D :D :D ;)

Spare Plugs (gapped), Socket and Ratchet, Electrical Test Meter, Spare Belt (Attached if able) Set of Combination Wrenchs, SAE and or Metric, depending on your 4.3. Spare fuses/breakers. Some waterproof sealer is handy too. Standard screwdrivers, and the ever needed Duct Tape. I am sure there is more coming.

I usually carry a cheap set of wrenches, cheap socket set, a couple screwdrivers, pliars.

For other items, a few extra hose clamps, duct tape, extra belt, extra prop, prop wrench, pocket knife, fuses, 1qt engine oil, 1qt trim oil.

Also, all emergency repairs require the use of at least on band-aid. if you don't bleed, it aint fixed.
