Nearly run over

I had to back the 16' boat and trailer into the side yard without driving the truck over the septic tank. After I backed past the driveway and into the grass I unhooked it from the truck. The trailer didn't want to roll in the grass so I hooked a chain up to the back of the trailer and pulled it back with the riding lawn mower. It didn't want to roll at first so I revved the mower up and gave it a yank. I stopped the mower and looked back and here comes the boat and trailer AT ME. That was such a surprise to me that I didn't think about what to do for a second. Boy was I happy to see the boat and trailer stop after putting a little ding in the back of the mower. Didn't know if this would qualify as a stupid human trick or not but I didn't feel very bright for not figuring out how to stop the trailer after I got it rolling.

Re: Nearly run over

Not a pleasant sight to see a run away boat and trailer. Glad you didn't get hit.
Next time get a ball for your riding tractor providing you don't have any hills you should have no problem moving it around in low gear.

That's the reason you see bumps, dents and dings in lots of pickup truck tailgates and bumpers....you learned something good without gettin' hurt!...and that's a good thing!;)

You should see the looks I got when I pulled my boat around the block with my atv! Just wanted to get it to the alley parking spot for the winter and it is easier to hook up to the atv.....lol

Yea get a hitch for your tractor atleast the trailer will hooked to you as its pushing you down the hill.
Don't ask how I have come to know this.
