Hi All,

Just finished servicing my boat and seem to have a problem with the nav lights, the switch on the dash is no longer illuminating (all the others are), so I am wondering if the switch is dead? The boat is a 2007.

I have used a 12 volt tester on the front nav light and there is definitely no power running to it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Kind of a confused post, but did you blow a fuse somewhere? That would be my first thought. If that isn't the problem, then I would start tracing the wires to see what has broken off or burnt. JMHO!

What are you using for a reference point for your tests? I'd suggest testing positive parts of the circuit while your negative meter lead is connected to a negative in a known functional circuit. If the positive checks out everywhere, you may have a break in the negative wire for the switch indicator light that also supplies the nav light. 12 volt systems can be trickier to troubleshoot on boats than on cars because you can't rely on a good ground reference for your meter. - Grandad
