Short answer, you can't.

Yamaha didn't support NMEA 2000 communications until the 2005 model year

Fuel management is a 3rd party add-on. Requires installation of a paddle wheel sensor in the fuel line.

In theory, you can use any NMEA 2000 compliment sensor, I run a Lowrance paddle wheel speed sensor on my Garmin, but I didn’t dig into the TI documentation to see if the unit is NMEA 2000 compliant.

Compliant being the keyword. Still a number of units that communicate using NMEA hardware using proprietary protocols
