Hi everyone, do these trim tabs keep the boat level, if there is more weight on one side than the other?
Thank you in advance.

Yes....unless you have an extreme situation...
11 years and going...Smart SX with the fold up bracket for beaching and my bunk trailer...
Excellent customer service also....owner actually called me to verify the installation...I own a Dusky CC which has a bracket....that speaks volumes on their product and service.

Great addition to your boat!!!

Best of luck!!!

Lance, thank you for your reply, I live in the UK, & have a Shetland Alaska 500, with a 60hp 4 stroke outboard. Sometimes, when there are 3 of us onboard, the boat tends to lean to either port or starboard, depending where they are sitting/standing whilst moving. If these will alleviate, or partially alleviate this, that will be it for me, & I will buy & fit them.
Kind regards
Paul

These work better for correcting a constant list.
If people move around the tabs will have to be adjusted manually which is not practical on the water.

I installed them on my Sylvan to correct a list caused by having my fuel tank and kicker on the port side. It worked very well for that.
I upgraded to hydraulic tabs so I could adjust for shifting loads.

Even without re-adjusting, SmartTabs work OK for correcting a small list while at planing speed. If the list is pronounced, I'd probably look into hydraulic tabs.

Hi, I have been boating for about 15 years now. My 1st boat was a 14' CJR, originally with a 2 stroke Johnson 40hp outboard, swapped to a 30hp Honda 4 stroke, next a Bayliner 192 with a 3lt inboard Merc. Then a SeaRay 270 Sundancer, that was some lovely boat, 7.4lt Merc inboard, I had a bow thruster installed for ease of maneuverability. We moved, & unfortunately, the waiting list for a berth/mooring is as long as the M1, so I reluctantly sold her. So now, I have a Shetland Alaska 500, with 60hp Suzuki 4 stroke on a trailer. Originally I'm from Yorkshire, but now reside in the South West.
