Didn't hear anything about this on the news. Bowling Green was nothing and I'm close to the TN line and we got some wind but not much above 30MPH. Sure hope they all had insurance, folks are OK

Hope everyone is ok. I saw the carnage of a tornado that went thru central Wisconsin a few years back. saw a kayak sticking into a tree, not hanging on a tree, actually embedded in the trunk. a small boat was embedded in the side of what was left of a barn

hope everyone had insurance

These were just EF1, I think the lowest. Few years back when the South had a whole season of bad ones, I was spending the night on the boat and one just skimmed our marina. I slept thru it. Didn't realize until about 2 am when I went up tot he restrooms and there were lots of people up and out. Couldn't figure why until I walked into a downed tree in the dark.

alldodge didn't know you were so close to us. For some reason I had you pegged in the great white north

Been as far North as the North Pole, but KY is as far North as I would want to live. When the snow and ice storms came thru last year and wiped out a a bunch of docks on Lake Cumberland they are still in the process of rebuilding. Lost a double decker house boat I think it was at Colony Bottom

Back in the 80,s i went to Barrie Ontario after several tornadoes visited the city and took a pic of a car frame and only a frame wrapped around a tree, where the rest was i have no clue and i lost the picture .Myuncle who had just sold his house and moved into a mobile home had a piece of rebar embedded in the floor of the home which would of easily killed anybody if they had of been standing there.

Joe was that Four Corners? I knew they got hit, but I've been kinda' out of it all week.

The Admiral and I were up and moving on Wednesday morning - saw the storm warnings, but nothing was crazy looking outside. She was driving me in the to the office, and when I get there I find out there was at least one tornado and we had flat line winds in Nashville banking at 80MPH. We were in the middle of most of it and had NO CLUE

Fortunately, most of the folks I know had pretty minor damage.

Man - I heard about that, but hadn't seen it yet. That's my secondary launch spot on Priest. There were a lot of nice boats up in those coops. Sad.

Splashed in today and took the family for the first ride of the season ... decided to head up and check Four Corners out. They've got most all of the cleanup done and things look good. They've still go several piers to rebuild and if you're familiar with 'em you can see the holes right away. Looks like they lost quite a few boats - things were busy and people were definitely on the water, but there were a lot of empty slips which is unusual for this marina.

Anyway - a month later things look much better.

Hmmmm and we're talking about moving south? And maybe Tennessee?

Y'all c'mon - I'm probably on the least pretty of the impounds in the state and we have visitors who go out with us and are just blown away by how pretty it is. Get on some of the stuff out of the area, and it really is drop-dead gorgeous. You can pretty much boat year 'round, but the Admiral is adverse to cold - so, we wait until we're in the 70s to hit the lake. Yesterday was nearly 80.
