Nascar - Toyota Owners 400

After a week off for Easter, Nascar racing is back at Richmond Saturday night. No trucks until May 9th, so we only have Nationwide tomorrow night and Cup the following night. This is race 9 of the season. For those keeping track, 7 winners so far with Harvick winning his second of the year. Theoretically that puts Harvick in the lead for the Chase doesn't it?

Usually i don't say much about N-wide, but how about Chase Elliott? Is he the real deal or just lucky? I like the kid.

Richmond is a short track, so qualifying is the two round knock-out session starting at 5:10P tomorrow with the N-Wide race starting about 7P.

In nascar news, Swan Racing is in trouble and looking for sponsorship money. It's still up in the air as far as what will happen.

Made my pics and I'm sticking to them. Mainly because we are off to trout camp for 4 days.:joyous:

Shouldn't fair any worse than the Saturday night race that I missed updating the team a few weeks ago.:facepalm:

Just to be clear since most of us are reading this for the first time today, racing Fri/Sat nites...........

Yep, Harvick should be first and Gordon is actually 8th even tho he leads in points, but no wins..........

It seems they basically folded except Kligerman stays under contact with Swan, which is now a team with no cars or crews and one idle driver.

N-Wide qualifying is on ESPN2 at 3PM today. I think it's rare to be on basic cable. Of course Cup Q-ing is on Fox Sucky 1.

Kyle Larson was fastest in the first Cup practice today.

So basically, no team. Sounds like going to 2 cars was their demise. NASCAR is also going to announce any engine changes for 2015 before the All-Star race next month...

Cup qualifying was cancelled due to weather. They had tornado warnings earlier. Last I heard there's still a "watch" until 9pm. Have they cancelled NW yet?

They still haven't started. Looks like they're getting ready. 3hr + rain delay, nuts............

Elliott came in second to Harvick. Still his third straight top 2 finish. Harvick was the class of the race leading 202 of the 250 laps. Also Regan Smith was eighth, so JR Motorsports had three in the top ten.
