Like last week, we have all three series racing at two tracks. Saturday afternoon has X-Men at Michigan and the evening features Trucks at Gateway in St. Louis. Then Sunday afternoon, Cup is running at Michigan. Both MRN schedules are below;






The Cup entry list is only at 38 to fill the 40 spots. From now through Sunday there are thunderstorms in the Brooklyn, MI forecast. :blue:

• ********* will be the title sponsor for next month's New Hampshire Cup and X-Races. LOL
• TV ratings - 2.2 , down 2.3 from 2015. TV viewers down from 2015, as well. 2016 was rain delayed. This year was the lowest rating since 2000 and lowest viewership since 2001.

Cup qualifying just finished.

Larson has the pole, followed by Truex, Bowyer, The Twerp, Hamlin, last weeks first time winner Blaney, Musky's Joey , McMurray, Kenseth, Elliott, Harvick and in 12th, Keso.

News;

Johnson inked a 3 year contract extension with Hendrick through the 2020 season. Lowe's also extended through next year.
Landon Cassill wrecked in this mornings 1st practice and will be running the back-up car.

It certainly was! The Twerp blocks Keso, who hooked him on the rear and The Twerp goes into the wall. Too bad Keso didn't get damaged too. It would be nice to drop 2 Cuppers and save some points for the real X-Men!

It was still a good finish to the race, I read a story yesterday, that they have been talking about Byron taking over Jr's seat next year, talking about moving up the ranks fast! But I do have to say, for a kid that learned to drive race cars on a computer, he does pretty good! He is either fearless(ya we were all!!!!) or he is just a good driver, but one year in K&N, one year in trucks, 1 year in Xmen and now talking about Cup!

Alex Bowman's name was in the mix after filling in for Jr. last year. Haven't heard much talk about him lately. There is a good crop of kids flittering about to replace what will be more retirements.

In addition to Cassill and TDillon going to the the back - Add Johnson, The Dinger and Suarez.

It looks like the rain may be gone by race time - Fingers crossed. A competition caution will be at lap 20.
