Following the Easter break, racing is back on the table with Cup and Trucks coming to us from Martinsville. X-Men have a longer layoff and will race at Texas on Friday, April 8th. This is the first Fox Sucky 1 broadcast of the season. :grumpy: The MRN schedule:
The Martinsville entry list is complete with 40 entries. I guess Gordon missed his chance to race in post-retirement mode. He said last year Martinsville is the one track he could consider running after retiring.
The current weather forecast is possible thunder storms and rain for Friday and Saturday. Sunday is calling for cool and sunny.
News and Notes
What happened in the Nascar world since the last race?
The official results for iFL from Fontana show Vertical Pedal driving off in the sunset with a :first: in his mitts. Our fifth winner in as many races. Still looking for a repeat winner. Congrats VP.
The overall leaderboard shows Trackchick Stars in 1st place, but 64osby is closing.
Y'all have a good weekend and pick well.

- Does Dale Jr. have a brain? Very much so - He is donating it for CTE research given his concussion history. Hopefully, a long, long time in the future.
- Junior has added two more cars to his Auto Graveyard. Johnson's car from Phoenix a few weeks ago, which was wrecked during qualifying when his steering wheel came loose and Shrubbies team truck driven by Christopher Bell that flipped 9 times on the final lap at Daytona.
- Auto Club Speedway penalties. The two biggest were Danica for walking toward the track after she was wrecked - $20K and probation, along with The Twerp getting a $10k fine and probation for having a snit when Nascar didn't yellow flag the final lap of the X-Men race when he was leading and causing him not win. Most likely his team radio comments about Nascar fixing races didn't help his cause. Poor baby! LOL
- How about a new manufacturer racing Nascar. AUDI???? I wonder which Audi model will be used?
- Mystery debris cautions - Only 1 at Fontana.
- The new Charter system fallout. The first lawsuit over the Cup charters has been filed. Not against Nascar, but between two former team partners. Hillman Racing is suing Circle Sport because the charter was awarded to Circle and not Hillman.
- Martinsville is using the Kenseth/Logano dust-up from last fall in their advertising for the upcoming race. Kenseth ended up suspended for 2 races and Logano didn't make the cut into the final Chase race.
- TV ratings - For the 5th week, ratings declined; all races are down from last year. Are the advertisers noticing this?
