Hello again, time for the weekly Nascar race topic (thread sounds better, doesn't it?) and a little bit of news. Or as one member of our weekly roundtable calls some of my posts blah, blah, blah. :disillusionment::caked:
Qualifying is over and Harvick is on the pole. His fastest lap was only 204.557, not even close to Bill Elliott's fastest at 212.809 at Talladega in 1987. Happy must have put an egg under the go pedal. Of course it was a new track record and the second fastest pole speed since Awesome Bill From Dawsonville back in '87. The rest of the top five are Gordon, Jr., Amirola and Menard. The race kicks off Sunday at 1:16 Eastern - Where do they get these start times?
Also at Michigan this weekend is the N-wide Ollie's Bargain Outlet 250 at 2 on Saturday. So I guess The Twerp is going for a double. The Trucks are running XXXXXXX Saturday at Gateway in St Louis. The race begins at 8:30 Eastern. Musky - Trucks XXXXXXX tomorrow!
In the news - Kane isn't real happy with Shrubby Jr. in the Pocono race. I guess the nicest thing he has to say is that Kyle was just being Kyle. Kasey has recieved an email from Shrubby, but won't talk to him. Going back to last season, this is the fourth time the two have tangled on the track and the fourth time Kahne was on the dirty end of the stick and exited the race. And Jr. left some baggage behind when he flew up to Michigan. The baggage was Ryan Newman. They made arrangements to fly on Dale's plane and Dale forgot and left without him. Newman caught a ride with the other Dale, Jarrett in this case.
Through 14 races, we still have only 10 winners since Harvick picked up his second of the season. Gordon is back in the points lead. In our Fantasy Live league, 64osby won the week and tightened up FlaCowboy's overall lead in the standings.
Get your changes made for Fantasy Live, if any and good luck all!
