Got a full 3 race schedule from Kentucky this week. Racin' on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. You know what means - The Twerp is doing a triple header. :mad: From MRN, the weekend schedule;

Cup has a full 40 car field for Kentucky. A chance of thunderstorms are forecast until Saturday evening, but Saturday should be clear.

News and Notes
  • Cup will be having some same day qualifying, qualify early on race day as X-Men does for most races.
  • Here is a novel idea - Trading drivers like NFL and other pro sports. Ricky Craven writes - http://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/story/_/id/19804280/nascar-owners-embrace-idea-trades
  • The Silly Season is in full swing. What will Dale Jr. do after giving up his seat in the 88? Fox or NBC? Rehab houses? - He has a show coming up for that. Run JR Motorsports and turn it into a Hendrick or Childress?
  • ISC, the France family owner and operator of 12 tracks on the Nascar circuit reported ticket sales are down 6.5% for the 6 races held at ISC tracks during their 2nd quarter. They brought in $1.8M less than the same period last year.
  • TV ratings for the Diet Coke 400 - 3.0 compared to 2.6 last year with a 3 hour rain delay. Up for a change.

TB2448 is still leading the overall standings.

Don't forget to make any roster changes before Saturday night. Good luck!

Rain, rain, go away. Kentucky has been pretty much Soggy Bottom yesterday and today. They managed to get the Truck races in late last night and Bell came away the winner.

Today the two Cup practices ran along with X-Qualifying. Cup qualifying got the 1rst round in and managed to just finish round 2 before the skies opened. The rest of qualifying was scrubbed and the X-Race has been postponed until Noon tomorrow when the weather is supposed to be much, much better.

Qualifying round 2 Cup finishing positions set the top 12 starting spots led off by The Twerp. Starting spots 2 through 12 are Truex, Kenseth, McMurray, Hamlin, Blaney, Harvick, Johnson, Suarez, Keso, Logano and Elliott.

Make your picks 64. It a nice, sunny day in Kentucky for the X-Race and it should hold for tonight's race.

Too many Cuppers in the X-Race. :blue:

Heat #1 starts now -- Green flag.

Half the field didn't even cross the start/finish line before they started wrecking. 1st yellow for stupidity.

Less than 10 laps in and Gaughan eats the wall for Yellow #2. I hope this finishes in time for the Cup race.

The caution at the race start may have been caused by WIMUSKY 's Joey. He jammed the rear end of The Twerp when the 18 didn't speed up in the zone. Go Joey! :D

The Twerp won't sweep the weekend after winning the X-Race. Bell won the Truck race.

Cup race at 7:45 with The Twerp on the pole.

End of Heat #1. Only 1 yellow for the comp. caution at lap 30. Larson has come from starting 40th to 3rd place.

Truex wins the heat over The Twerp and Larson. Only 22 cars on the lead lap, I hate races like this!

2 cautions for wrecks. 1 right after the restart, Keso, Johnson and Bowyer. Bowyer a simple no-contacy spin, the 2 and 48 are done.

rRght after the restart, Kahne clipped the back of Bayne and #5 hit the wall, Kahne is done and Bayne stays out.

Not sorry to say, at this point in the season, anybody betting against Martin, might want to reevaluate their choices! We might be seeing the march to another first time champ!

We might get lucky and the twerp could hit the wall really hard in practice with each car. And then blow the engines of the backups.
