We're kicking off the second half of the 2015 Race To The Chase this week at Pocono Raceway in the heart of the Pocono Mountain Honeymoon and Romantic Getaway area. What could be better than taking a break by seeing a Sprint Cup race? Nevermind - On to the race stuff.
Sunday is the first of two Cup races at Pocono. XFINITY has the week off and Trucks are running an IndyCar support race at Texas Friday evening with the open-wheelers racing on Saturday. Courtesy of MRN, the Cup and Truck schedules;

Only 43 teams are entered for Pocono. That means Jeb Burton is in the line up.

- Harvick got a penalty for receiving two consecutive written warnings. He has the last choice of pit stalls. He won't have to fight JJ for the last stall because the #48 appeal for the same type of penalty won't be heard until 6/9.
- Trevor Bayne and Jennifer Jo Cobb (XFINITY) are getting fined and probation for getting out of their cars before safety crews got to the cars following wrecks. Bayne $20K, Cobb $5K
- An interesting safety note occurred during Dover. The #41 team was ordered to remove heat shields from it's fuel cans, it was hot during the race. But has any Nascar safety guy ever opened a gas can that's been sitting the sun? It seems to me the heat shields are a safety measure. Where does Nascar store their heads? They should pull them out every once in a while!
- Penske IndyCar driver Helio Castroneves says he would like to drive a Cup car. Penske said no - Three times.
- Brian Vickers has joined NBC for in studio and some race coverage
- Why doesn't Nascar do THIS? The Formula E race winner in Berlin was DQ'ed for failing post-race inspection. Shocking I tell you, shocking.
- We're halfway to Chase after 13 races. Let's see where the contenders are currently seeded.
- Johnson and Harvick have 6 of the 13 wins so far, while seeds 3 through 9 are single race winners.
- Big names missing from the bunch - Keso, Stewart, Biffle, Bowyer and of course, Kyle Busch. Busch is in 40th place with only 42 points after returning for 2 races. He needs to win a race, which is very possible and move up to 30th spot in 13 races- Doubtful in my estimation.
