Race #7 in the 2014 schedule. Six races so far, six different winners. Will the trend continue?

The weekend schedule is a bit of a change this week. Festivities started last evening, Thursday, with the first and second N-Wide practices. Today N-wide qualifies at 4:10 PM followed by the first Cup practice and the N-Wide race is at 8:30. Tomorrow Cup has final practice and then Q-ing - The only events scheduled for Saturday. The Cup race kicks off about 3:15 on Sunday. Weather may also come into play on Sunday with a 90% chance of rain. :blue:

And a new week, a new issue. This time it's tires. NASCAR is putting the responsibilities of maintaining tires on the teams. - Autoweek Apparently the new multi-zone tire, used in a couple of races last year, has not been tested at Texas.

Don't forget the N-Wide race this evening! And fix up your fantasy team by the the deadline on Sunday. Good luck to all! :joyous:

Just turned it on. I see there's a bunch of Cup guys. Caution free so I haven't missed anything....... Time for supper..... And of course, now there's a caution...

Texas is a great track IMHO. Having a Nationwide series race there on a Friday night is even better.

Chase Elliot appears to be very talented as does Kyle Larson. I like them both.

Could JR Motorsports be the Hendrick Motorsports of the future? Excellent race.

I know I said don't forget the N-Wide. I didn't but I wasn't paying full attention - My freezer decided to turn into a bad fridge.

So I ended up picking up a new freezer and I got home just as the race started. I listened to it and occasionally glanced at the tube as I swapped the bad for the good. Best thing I heard was the TV crew praising the Twerp and how good he is with N-Wide. And then Rusty Wallace said he really wants to get inside Twerps head and see what made him tick or something similar to that. I wanna get inside his head too. With a weedwhacker. :faint2: :lol:


Good to see Chase Elliott hold off Twerp. Bill is proud as punch! Also great to see a non-buschwacker win and he is the points leader, too . So I may not have been able to actually watch the race, But it was a good one.

I was flipping between the Pirate ball game, Hawaii 5-0, and the race. Glad to see Elliott beat Shrubby like a rented mule.

You have the Hawaii score, but you didn't put in the others. Beat 'Em Bucs

Qualifying at in about an hour. And rain in the area. Ugh. Rain chances at TMS Sunday is still 80% with 1/2" predicted. Double ugh.

And rain seems to be continuing to stream in from the SW. Maybe it will clear later and the race will move to FS2. :mad-new:

Seems like the rain keeps forming in the SW..... Doesn't look bad then more green pops up.....

We're sitting at 50. Snow is melting and water's running. Feels like heaven. Thank you Lord!

Well Fox just gave up the ghost here and put on a sports blooper show, and FS1 has baseball on, so I guess no race for me this week! I don't get FS2

They said the would be back on Fox at 7:00pm EDT tonight. We will see if it happens.
