The AAA TripTik says turn left, turn left, turn left, turn left - Repeat 333 more times. Cup, X-Men and Truck are running this weekend at TMS, all Chase races. These are the middle race of their elimination rounds, still looking for the four final Chasers. Here is the MRN schedule with Trucks kicking things off tomorrow afternoon;

Got some rain in the forecast with the heaviest chances late Sunday afternoon. Hope it stays dry.

News and Notes
  • 3 drivers were treated after Martinsville for various ailments. McDowell raced with the pneumonia, strep throat and suffered burnt feet during the race. The Dinger was treated for overheating. Finally, Annett suffered carbon monoxide poisoning. Spectators didn't fare well after the race either. 22 were run over in the parking lot by an impatient driver. Nothing serious fortunately.
  • 3 cars got warnings for inspection failures.
  • No changes in over the wall pit crew size, staying at 6. Charter teams are floating an idea about elongated (???) pit stops to de-emphasize their importance and impact on a race. Huh??
  • Biffle moving over to JTGD seems to be more than a rumor, but no real news yet.
  • The long search for a title sponsor for is having some impact. Lionel, yep that Lionel, is putting Nascar logos on diecast cars needing to ready for the 2017 Daytona 500.
  • Nascar is still trying to explain the 29 lap and 20 some minute delay in setting the field after a caution. Nascar - There is no excuse!
  • TV ratings suffered again, lower than last year. The trend continues.

iBOATS Fantasy Live
Our latest winner from Martinsville is FloridaFishingNetwork, picking up his 2nd win of the year. Enjoy your :first: and congrats, FFN.

The overall race may be getting tighter. 64osby knocked TcS's lead down to 208 points. 3 more races like Martinsville and 64 will take over.

Speaking of tight, Game 7 was just tied at 7-7 in the bottom of the 8th! So make your picks in time for Sunday's race and good luck.

Dillon qualified on the pole. He is followed by Logano, Harvick, Keso, Larson, Menard, Kenseth, Blaney, Edwards, Busch41, Elliott and Truex.

So 5 Chasers made the final round of qualifying. Hamlin, Johnson and Shrubby didn't make it out of the 2nd qualifying round. Also Shrubby hit the wall during practice and pulled out his backup car.

The Truck race starts about 8:50 Eastern.

Johnny Sauter won the 2nd Truck Chase race, he also won last week. Still 3 open Truck Chase spots to be determined next week at Phoenix.

Another X-Race won by a Cup regular and no X-Man has won a race in this round to get a slot in the finale at Homestead. Larson, Keso and Harvick took the 1st 3 spots, while X-Chasers Jones and Suarez took 4th and 5th. Not sure if this will happen next year with the new Chase rules kicking in next year.

Phoenix is the only race left to have an X-winner in this round.

Rain at TMS will impact the races today. The start has been moved from 2:16 to 2:04. That's going to make a big difference!

Matt DiBenedetto was concussed in the X-Men race wreck yesterday and Jeffery Earnhardt is subbing in the #83 for today's race.

Estimate of 3-4 hours to dry the track. 6:30 - 7:30 start? More rain is coming on the radar!

TV is switching over to NBCSN at 5:30 E and a dry track is estimated for 7-7:30E.

Any guesses on TV ratings this week?

Using the cars to finish drying the track. If they don't wave the green soon, we'll have warm-up lap pit stops!

Finally - Green flag. But with a yellow. Still drying the track, but laps count. Watch out for Juan Pablo!

This no way to run a Chase race!

Competition caution at lap 25.

Well this fantasy part of this race for me comes down to who does better Harvick or Kyle B. TsC and I have the same team except she has Harvick and I have Shubby. I have Logano for the win, she has Truex.

I think you're right, 64. Stuck on lap 3 and we're on lap 33.

But the Admiral is still leading. LOL

Lap 80 and only 23 cars on the lead lap, some because of green flag pit stops. Johnson and Bowman have had tire issues. A trend?

Admiral is still in 1st place.

Finally, FL caught up. The Admiral isn't in 1st place anymore. I'm not telling. :behindsofa:

Lap 95 and 20 on the lead lap now. I hate these runaway races.
