Our fourth race of the year at Bristol. Any grudges to settle between the drivers? This is the place. :D Short track racing doesn't get any better than at Bristol. Following an hour and a half practice at Noon, qualifying begins at 4:40.

Also Nascar has made a change to the qualifying starting this week. They listened to complaints about the chances of wrecks because of the speed differential of cars on a fast lap and those running at a snail's pace to cool the motors.

NASCAR makes modifications to qualifying | NASCAR.com

Nascar cool down laps are no longer permitted, will now allow two pit crew members over the wall instead of one and the crew can hook-up cooling units through the hood flaps on pit road.

Since Bristol is less than 1.25 miles (I'll say :)) the qualifying will a 30 minute session with all cars and the 12 fastest advance to a 10 minute final chance to take the pole.

Don't forget to get your changes in for Fantasy Live. FlaCowboy took last week's trophy :first: while Kyle K is still leading overall, sitting on top the heap. Good luck fellow boaters. And the rest of you too. :D

Yep the weather man here says Saturday should be nice with a high of 61 and only a 20% chance of rain. The low Saturday night will be around 39 and the high Sunday will probably only make it to 50. the rain for Sunday looks to be 70% throughout the day possibly changing over to some light snow showers overnight into Monday. Hope they get the race in on Sunday cause Monday doesn't look much better. By the way welcome to all the race fans here in northeast Tn. We appreciate all the folks who come up this way for the races, and sorry about the crappy weather. It is the mountains in March.

Yeah, today and tomorrow look great, while and Sunday and Monday aren't so hot. Same weather down here. :blue: If they don't get the race in on Sunday/Monday, it looks like Tuesday will be race day.

Just checked to see if the trucks were running tonite. Heck, they don't race until March 29th. The next one after that is May 9th. Not much spring racing for them.... In a lot of ways, I think the trucks are more fun to watch than the other 2 series.....

Hamlin got the pole with Keso fastest. The rain chances are still high for Sunday.

Sounds like we can forget about the race today. They've upped it to 100% chance of rain this afternoon........

Why didn't they put up the big umbrella? Bristol doesn't even need a real big one. :D When they do start, the track will be clean with no rubber. We might see one or two cautions with plenty of debris.

We're doing the Invocation and Anthem. I take that as a good sign.

Did a "fan" TP the track? Where is all the paper coming from? The battery I understand from Bowman's car, but not the paper strips.

Re: Nascar - Bristol Food City 500

I saw an hr to hr forecast for the race today and they called for 100% of the wet stuff. They still haven't changed the forecast. 100% and it still doesn't rain? That's a major screw up......

Is curious what all the white stuff is, I wonder if its plastic ? But from where?

Letting the wife watch MSU/U of M Big10 championship game during the delay. 4 minutes to go State up by 10.

I see NASCAR viewership was down during the first 3 races compared to last year....
