Nascar - Aaron's 499 At Dega.

Race 10 in the 2014 Cup season at Talladega for the Aaron's 499 ob Sunday and the N-Wide Aaron's 312 Saturday. The weekend racing kicked off with two N-wide practices on Thursday, followed by qualifying on Friday along with two Cup practices. Saturday is Cup qualifying and the N-Wide race. The Cup cars will impounded following qualifying, which is a three round knockout format.

So far six winners this year with doubles by Harvick and Logano. Other than the fines and probation for Ambrose and Mears, no other news this week. But this is Talladega, we gotta have the Big One!

The more double winners we have, the more of a lock the single winners are for the Chase, but it also makes points matter for the final spots. Might be interesting after all.

Race fans are cluster flocking my little town now, the place looks like a kicked over ant hill.

We live about 10 miles from the track and could hear the party last night... in the house with all the windows closed. Tonight and tomorrow night will be even louder.

I think points will still be important for the last couple of spots.

I think this would be a getaway weekend from 'Dega, jig. Unless you plan of attending.

For all of you planning on watch Cup qualifying on Fox Sucky 2 better check the TV schedule. Q'ing will air on Fox, so I can finally watch Cup Q'ing this year. It starts at 1:30 Eastern.

I see they're running NW today. They used to run ARCA on Saturdays. I would listen to it on our 2nd travel day getting down to 'Dega. Drove right by the track to get to my cousins. The race usually would still be running.

I see they can't lock bumpers now. Bump draft only, no tandem. Give me a break. Getting real sick of all the rule changes......

Yes, Elliott won and Elliott came in 19th. Elliott has the points lead with 339 and Elliott has 338. Are you straight now? :lol:

Looked to be a pretty good race, little bit of bumping and rubbing at the end there!

Now back out to chop another boat up!
