Musky - This is for you. WE HAVE A TRUCK RACE! LOL

Trucks and Cup in Kansas for race 11. The trucks race on Friday night and Cup on Saturday night. That means we can all go fishing on Sunday.

Truck practice session starts in just a bit. They'll need it, it was April 29th the last time they turned a wheel. Two sessions today, qualifying tomorrow with the race at 8:30 Friday.

Cup kicks off tomorrow with two practice sessions and qualifying. The race starts at 7:46 Saturday.

In the News:

No one likes Keso after Talladega and his driving skill demonstration.

Kasey Kahne's crew chief was fined $25K for not meeting minimum weight during pre-inspection last week.

They met during the week to talk more about horsepower cuts.

That's all, folks. Make your changes to your Fantasy Live teams and lets go Saturday Night racin'. And Musky - You get the trucks back, don't forget. :D Good luck to all!

Good! Now we'll get racing from flag to flag w/o anyone laying back or playing follow the leader for a few hours until the last 20 laps........... And they'll get it done in a couple hours....... :) Go Jeb!

Say GA, the race is on Fox Sucky 1.........

Hmmmmmm. I'm thinking all the 1.5s require serious driving skills. Unless you're trying to say that only road courses matter, not sure about that. And yes, I like short tracks. Maybe you confused this with last week?

Re: Nascar - 5-Hour Energy 400 at Kansas

Well let me rephrase that a little cause the first post was in part humor........... Almost all of the 1.5 mile tracks are imo boring these day's
I think there are many reasons, like rules package, car setup, points setup and drivers making too much money irregardless of where they finish.

But I think it all combines to show itself more at the 1.5 then most other tracks........and no I look at the road races as an exibition kinda race.........
There are reasons why the all-star races are usually very exciting compared to a points race

Ifn you wanna see real racin........put narrower tires on remove all the aero crap from the cars.......do away with the stupid lucky dog free pass, then we would see who wants it bad and who can actually drive.........

OK, so you want a time machine. Got it. :)

I always post responses to the "NASCAR sucks" type deals as I think it's evolution as big money, and sponsor driven, is what makes the sport special and will keep it alive. Local racing is still kickin', if that's what you want got to those races. With your all-star race comments you must like the new Chase format as it does make points less important than before. And I would agree with your rules package at Daytona and Talladega. Despite the excitement, plates suck. So there it is. All good.

Oh, and I like the Lucky Dog too, liked the old gentleman's agreement better, but I think a secondary race for the Lucky Dog is also good. I get excited when my guy is either the last on the lead lap or fighting to be the Lucky Dog. Just another thing to keep me interested.

Harvick on the pole followed by Logano, Keso, Edwards and Larson. I think 44 of the qualifiers broke the old track record, it was a bunch!

oh man........... can you pretty please with a cherry on top get me that time machine ::lol:and just run the clock back about 35 years...........

oh wait, I bet your time machine only works in nascar time.........Dang...

I really do not think NASCAR sucks..... I just think if they concentrated a little more on the racing instead of ( the show ) things would be mo better.......well atleast they wouldnt have those pesky phantom cautions....
just sayin

Re: Nascar - 5-Hour Energy 400 at Kansas

Run it back 35 years and we'll have 3 cars on the lead lap at the finish. That doesn't sound too exciting..... In '94, Geoff Bodine had lapped the whole field when he took the checkers... In '65, Ned Jarrett won by 14 laps........

The Show pays the bills....

I'm right there with ya on the phantom cautions. I know that's a shock to most.....:lol:

Up to yellow #4. But none have involved the Twerp. I hate listening to races on MRN. :grumpy:
