This week we begin the downhill slide to the finale of iBoats Fantasy Live for 2018. Pocono, the oval road course, has Cup and X-Men racing - Maybe. The weather looks worse than what was forecast for Charlotte last week. From MRN, the tentative schedule;

News and Notes
- Charlotte Cup penalties - Hey, no Illegal rear window braces, only loose lugnuts.
- Nascar likes the restrictor and aero changes used in the All-Star race and are looking at using the same package in at least one more race this year and instituting for next year. A quote from a Jayski article "The period of reflection might have gained more urgency following Sunday night's Coca-Cola 600. In the 600, Kyle Busch was never seriously challenged for the victory. He led 377 of 400 laps, won each stage of the race by margins of his choosing and was passed only during pit sequences." Comparing a 400 lap race with 4 100 lap stages against an 80 lap exhibition race with 30, 20, 20 and 10 lap stages and an untested race package is nuts.
- Chevy is using Camaros in this year's Cup races, Ford is switching to Mustangs next year and Toyota announced the Supra is returning to the showroom floor and will be used in Xfinity next year. Guessing the Supra will the Toyota Cup ride in 2020 because the Land Cruiser has the aerodynamics of a cement truck. Toyota must have heard about the iBoats bid for Nascar and the aim to return Stock to Nascar.
- TV ratings - Charlotte 600 earned a 2.3 rating and 4.1 million viewers on FOX, down 18% in ratings and 12% in viewership from last year (2.8, 4.6M) and down 32% and 29% respectively from 2016 (3.4, 5.7M). Nascar is losing market value and we need a little more spare change! :lol:
