Narrowed it down to 1988,89,90 110 hp Johnson

Hi I have just started working on a Johnson 110 hp<br />It has no plate for ID. I know its after 1984 cause its VRO and I know its after 1986 cause of the linkage.I now know that its either a 1988 ,89 90 cause its a 110 and has only one power pack! Is there somthing else distintive around these years to help. I use to have a web page with this info but have since lost it.<br /> I have found a number on the swage plug R8257282.<br />Steve

Johnsom made a 115HP in 1990, but not a 110. Don't have info for other years. Look for a round disc on top of the powerhead about the size of a nickel. Looks like a freeze plug. The model number is also stamped in there.

stinky2 even if you had the whole number,it STILL could be a different year powerhead that someone installed.I find this often when numbers come up missing.Any chance of pictures?<br />DHP
